By mid 2008 the winds of change were blowing for the music industry and our current business model in a high rent shopping centre was coming to an end. So we decided not to renew our lease and closed our long term business at Toombul. We relocated our now established home cinema business Electronic Interiors to a low cost, newer and larger nearby destination and transferred our traditional music business online. It took courage to make this decision after 40 years in this location however, nothing is forever, and the timing was right to separate these two divisions which would now be independently owned by my two sons.

The assets of value that enabled a successful transition were a large VIP data base and diversification into a new high tech industry, home cinema. What made this possible however was that both divisions leveraged off a strong host brand.

Recognising diversification opportunities is paramount to business longevity because there comes a time in every business when we must decide how we are valuable to our customers rather than how valuable we are. And for these two new business models the Bullseye Principle begins again.
